Hydroelectric Power

Reliable Power Supply And CO2 Emissions Mitigation. A three-stage hydroelectric project is currently under development in central Africa. All Conceptual work has been completed and required permits and licenses have been obtained.

Green Ammonia

Enabling Job Creation And CO2 Emissions Mitigation While Delivering Attractive Financial Returns. The Northern Cape (South Africa) is viewed as an “optimal” location for green hydrogen production. Utilize renewable power to produce hydrogen via electrolysis and then convert it to green ammonia (NH3).

Project Luhlaza

Two million tons of raw materials for 100% green chemicals. Formative Capital has taken its first project through pre-feasibility, and beyond FEL-2, progressing to where Formative has a Class 3 capital (+25% / -10%) estimate on hand. We are entering into the design and implementation phase and expect to be producing products about 36 months after construction commences.

Project Okusha

More than 7,700 jobs. We have begun the pre-feasibility study for our second project and have completed the conceptual engineering model as well as the order of magnitude capital estimate. Project Okhusha will produce a different slate of renewable chemicals, utilizing a different feedstock than Project Luhlaza.

Navigating To Our Future

Navigating to our future. Formative is working on selecting sites for a third and fourth facility. We intend to use these sites to introduce an expanded renewable product line into our markets. Formative is continually seeking new, impactful, ways to apply technology to solve problems related to climate change, and de-carbonization.
