Enabling Job Creation And CO2 Emissions Mitigation While Delivering Attractive Financial Returns.
The Northern Cape (South Africa) is viewed as an “optimal” location for green hydrogen production. Utilize renewable power to produce hydrogen via electrolysis and then convert it to green ammonia (NH3).

The project will be completed in 2 phases. Phase 1 will be the production of a minimum of 242,000 tons NH3 annually, offsetting more than 480,000 tons of CO2 annually. Phase 2 will see an increase in NH3 output to 1 million tons annually. Once Phase 2 is completed the annual carbon offset will be >2 million tons.
The project will create rural employment and there is an option to set up downstream hydrogen-based companies.
Over 100 jobs will be created at the site, 1000 jobs during construction, and 500 indirect jobs. Green NH3 from the site will be exported to global markets.
