Sustainability

Formative Capital is embarking on a journey, focused on the development of sustainable communities that built on successful agricultural and manufacturing initiatives. Together, we will be developing solutions that enable communities to thrive while maintaining balance within the ecosystem, acting as custodians for the future generations. The journey begins by focusing on the destination and designing routes that embrace inclusion, poverty eradication, improvement of quality of life for call, preservation of ecosystems, and ensuring full access to better quality education and healthcare.

The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, was adopted by all United Nations Member States in 2015, providing a shared blueprint for peace and prosperity for people and the planet, now and into the future. The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), recognize that ending poverty and other deprivations must go hand-in-hand with strategies that improve health and education, reduce inequality, and spur economic growth – all while tackling climate change and working to preserve our oceans and forests.

Our projects use the United Nations Social Development Goals as the framework to guide design, while striving to adhere to circular economy and no net-zero water principles. We work with local communities, developing business models that use the fallow land to produce crops that generate profitable revenue to the farmers, thereby improving quality of life. The biorefinery attracts a range of partners, fostering the creation of virtuous circles for employment, infrastructure and social development within the region. Ruthless focus on efficiency protects the natural resources and ensures that “people, planet and profit” remain in harmony.

Collaboration with local communities and partners, focus on increasing the use of biofuels and sustainable fertilizers; improve the life cycle analysis associated with the products produced at the bio-refinery. Education programs focused on improved agricultural processes will be shared with all farmers. Scholarships will be made available for study at tertiary institutions.
